Australian Football

Western Australia is warm and sunny. I´ve had 2 days of kitesurfing so far, one afternoon session in Rockingham on Friday, and one morning session in Perth yesterday. I´m staying at a surfhouse with other kiters (and non-kiter). One of the kiters, a german, Hennie, and I went to a Australia Football friendly match yesterday to se Fremantle vs West Coast (Perth). The match was dedicated to the people who died in the fires in Victoria.

I have not seen Australian Football since i saw it on Sky Sport 20 years ago, and it my first time seeing it live. It was nice, and the Fremantle supporter behind us made the day! Watch the video and listen.

Lets make a plan!

The nice ting about traveling as I do now is being able to plan along the way. I suppose it´s not in my nature to not to have a detailed plan from A to Z, but sometime is the first time for everything.
My original plan was waterproof except the fact that Indonesia and Tahiti is not very windy during May and June. My new route is Australia / Perth, Vietnam Ho Chi Minh, San Francisco, Norfolk (Cape Hattaras), Caribbean and Home. I´m really excited about Australia, it´s a country I always wanted to visit.

My last days in Cape Town has been good. I´ve moved in to Sheree´s and Grant´s surfhouse. It´s a big house were people have there own rooms, and share kitchen, living room and a big outdoor area. There is a lot of nice people living here, mostly Europeans. I´ve also met a very nice guy from San Francisco called, Raza. Him and I have been on a couple of local excursions, and yesterday we went up to Langebaan together. Reza took a kiteboardinglesson and I had a boost session with my 9m2. Not a very good session, but it was fun.

On Saturday I travel to Kruger National Park, for a 4 day safari. The next stop, Perth!
