Oslo by Night

I finally invested in a tripod, and I chose Benro C-297. I´t a carbon fiber tripod, so the weight is not that bad, and the build is very good. I also bought a Manfrotto 804RC2 pan / tilt head, but I´m not all that impressed with that. The mount on the Manfrotto is not solid enough to support my camera when I have Canon 70-200 f2.8 IS USM mounted on my camera body. It tilts a couple of degrees after the handgrip /adjustment is tightened. Anyway, I took it all out for a spin today, and these are some visual expression from my first “tripod shootout”

Heavy storms

Oslo is likely to get some really serious weather this Sunday. This is to much, even for kiters and windsurfers.

Shooting in Vigelandsparken

It’s been ages since I’ve use my camera, so I decided to take trip around town an look objects.

I ended up in Vigelandparken, taking shots there. I shot in raw format, and when I got home I tried editing in rawstudio. A huge difference compared to jpg in Gimp. Exporting to jpg from rawstudio is also a big disappointment. Gimp is out, and hold of filters and strokes until I get my brand new Mac with Photoshop and build in raw capability.
