Bali

I´ve shorten my stay in Western Australia. Mainly due to lack of wind, but I also have a couple of injuries so I need some time of. I´m traveling with one of the guys that I met here in Rockingham, a German called Fabian. Ted, or Bobby as he later became known as, is on his way back to home to Seattle. The remaining part of the Lotion Tour crew, Henning and Thomas are staying in Rockingham. I´ll miss them.

Dolphin Beach

I just got my new directional board, it a 5.8” fish, locally made. I´ve been on it now for 3 days, and it great fun! Yesterday I spotted 5 Dolphins swimming upwind, probably 500 meter from shore. I tried to keep up with them, and one of the actually swam up to me. It lost interest after 5 seconds though, but still, a really nice experience.

Christian left on Saturday, hopefully he is home safe and sound. I had a couple days alone now, but today my kite buddy Mario will arrive. Mario´s biggest concern about traveling to South Africa has been sharks. Yesterday, when we spoke on the phone he told me that he was keen on doing shark cave diving, which I found quite ironic. I he does it, I´ll do it! The picture is from yesterdays evening stroll on Dolphin Beach Bloubergstrand.
