Padi Diver

Bali was not part of my revised plan, but has turn out to be a great experience.
The road trip around the island with Fabian and the scuba training course the I finished today.

On my last day scuba training, we drove to Tulamben, which is on the north eastern shore of Bali.
Tulamben has a 120 m long ship wreck from the second world war. I did 2 dives, both down to 18 meters, it was really cool. I´m exhausted after 2 days of diving, but I am now a Padi certified diver;)

Shark cage diving

To overcome our fear of sharks, Mario and I decided to go shark cage diving.
Ironic? Not at all. 2 hours drive east of Cape Town, there is a small place called Gansbaai, which is where most of the shark cage diving companies at the western cape operate.

The whole experience was quite a thrill, despite the fact that we ended up waiting 3 hours for a shark, and I got sea sick. Mario got to see the shark from the cage, but I only saw it from the boat.

Mario and I had 4 days of kiteboarding last week, a weekend without wind (so we did this instead), and today the wind is back so we are heading up to Langebaan this afternoon. Martin and Camilla has arrived as well, so they will join us. Tomorrow I´ll leave Cape Town and start my trip east, driving the famous Garden Route.
